About Ivan White
Ivan has been a personal fitness trainer
and group exercise instructor for 20 years.
He enjoys working with everyone - from young
athletes to seniors, and looks forward to
people meeting their fitness goals through
hard work, commitment and fun. Ivan has been

Bill Campbell
We caught up with the globe-trotting cycling
and spinning enthusiast Bill Campbell
(pictured here at the Tour de France) and
asked him his thoughts on Shadyside Spin (and
yes, that's really Bill, not Lance!).
What drew you to Shadyside Spin?
In a word...Elizabeth, my favorite
instructor. [And you wonder how people get to
be Spinner of the Month? :) ] Also, it's such a
great facility - with a great atmosphere,
super equipment and challenging classes.
No really. Everyone always seems like
they're pandering when they say stuff like
that.
(Laughing) Well, all I can tell you is
while the place is beautiful and the
equipment is great, what really makes a spin
class in the instructor, so, pandering or
not, that's what's true for me.
What's the best part of being an ESL
(English as a Second Language) volunteer
tutor for the Greater Pittsburgh Literacy
Council?
The best part is meeting people from all over
the world and being able to share the English
language and American culture with them,
while learning about their cultures.
How long have you been spinning?
Since 2000, at least.
How do you like to spend your free time,
besides spinning, of course?
Outdoor cycling, tennis, working out,
reading, doing volunteer work, traveling,
going out with friends and family.
Do you have any favorite restaurants or
night spots in the Burgh?
I love to eat and my two current favorite
places are: Legends of the North Shore and
Cafe Roma.

Yoga at Shadyside Spin
Featuring Yoga Instructor Kit Ford
Kit Ford began practicing yoga in 2001 and
allowed herself to experiment with several
styles and teachers. She completed a
year-long teacher training program in the
Iyengar method of yoga. Kit blends her
continuing interest in spiritual studies
with her path of yoga. She enjoys inspiring
others to experience what can be reached
through a sincere and steady practice.
Mon and Tues. 7:00 to 8:30 a.m.
